Students who have successfully completed all degree requirements as specified by their programs are hooded at the University's graduation ceremony. St. Catherine University holds a graduation ceremony in May and December. The University of St. Thomas holds a graduation ceremony in May.

Students who are pursuing both a degree and a certificate simultaneously participate in commencement after completing the requirements for the degree.

Students with Credits Remaining

Students who have not completed all graduation requirements may participate in commencement if the following conditions are met:

December Commencement

Graduate students who have no more than four credits (or one course) remaining to complete all graduation requirements may participate in the December commencement ceremony, provided the remaining credits will be completed in the spring term following commencement.

Undergraduate students who have no more than four credits remaining to complete all graduation requirements may participate in the December commencement ceremony, provided the remaining credits will be completed in the spring term following commencement.

May Commencement

Graduate students who have no more than four credits (or one course) remaining to complete all graduation requirements may participate in the May commencement ceremony, provided the remaining credits will be completed in the summer session following commencement.

Undergraduate students who have no more than four credits remaining to complete all graduation requirements may participate in the May commencement ceremony, provided the remaining credits will be completed in the summer session following commencement.
