School of Social Work

The School of Social Work at St. Catherine University and the University of St. Thomas jointly offers social work degrees at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The School of Social Work offers an undergraduate degree in Social Work (B.S. or B.A.) and minors in social welfare, chemical dependency counseling:addiction and recovery, and social services management. 

The Master of Social Work (MSW) provides advanced professional study for women and men in social work. The program prepares social work practitioners for clinical social work practice and leadership. Dual-degree programs are offered in collaboration with the Departments of Holistic Health and Theology at St. Catherine University, and the Law School at the University of St. Thomas. The Doctorate in Social Work (DSW) prepares students to teach and lead in the social work profession with a particular focus on teaching as social work practice.
