MA Holistic Health Studies - DNP
Program Description
The Holistic Nursing Leader (HNL): Dual Degree option prepares individuals with baccalaureate degrees in nursing to assume practice and leadership positions as doctoral prepared nurses. The HNL Program builds upon the student’s previous educational preparation at the baccalaureate level and provides a robust, interprofessional curriculum in holistic health and advanced practice nursing. Upon successfully completing this rigorous academic program of graduate study, graduates will be awarded a Master of Arts degree in Holistic Health Studies (MAHS) and a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). Consistent with the mission of the Department of Nursing, Holistic Health Studies, the Henrietta Schmoll School of Health, and the Graduate College at St. Catherine University, these graduates will be prepared to assume practice and leadership roles in healthcare organizations and systems.
Degree Requirements
A minimum of 72 credits. The overall minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required. Students in the DNP program complete a systems change project prior to graduation.
Years to Complete the Program
Students are expected to complete the DNP Program within seven years of initial enrollment.
