Master of Business Administration - DNP
Program Description
The Executive Nurse Leader (ENL): Dual Degree option prepares individuals with baccalaureate degrees in nursing to assume leadership positions as doctoral prepared nurses. The ENL program builds upon the student’s previous educational preparation at the baccalaureate level and provides a robust, interprofessional curriculum in leadership and advanced practice nursing. Upon successfully completing this rigorous academic program of graduate study, graduates will be awarded a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). Consistent with the mission of the Department of Nursing, the Henrietta Schmoll School of Health, the MBA program, and the Graduate College at St. Catherine University, these graduates will be prepared to assume leadership roles in healthcare organizations and systems.
Degree Requirements
A minimum of 70 credits (the curriculum effective Fall 2021 will require 67 credits). The overall minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required. Students in the DNP program complete a systems change project prior to graduation.
Years to Complete the Program
This is a three-year program. Students are expected to complete the DNP program within seven years of initial enrollment.
