Literacy Leadership - Certificate
This certificate focuses on developing teacher leadership skills specific to literacy coaching, aligned with the International Literacy Association Standards for the Preparation of Literacy Professionals (2017), for those currently serving in leadership positions as well as those interested in literacy leadership. The courses will contribute to teachers’ foundational knowledge of literacy, improve competencies in assessment and evaluation, address issues related to equity and diversity, and build leadership skills through understanding Adult Learning Theory.
Courses are online and seven weeks in length.
This certificate for practicing teachers is a total of 12 credits. If these courses are taken as part of the MAED: Curriculum and Instruction degree, financial aid is available. Financial aid is not available for the stand alone certificate.
