Data Science Minor
This minor is offered in the College for Women only.
The Data Science Minor is designed to provide students from diverse academic backgrounds with foundational knowledge and skills in data analysis, statistical modeling, and computational methods. The minor emphasizes the ability to extract insights from data, apply analytical tools, and communicate findings effectively, preparing students for careers or further study in data-driven fields.
The Data Science Minor complements majors such as Business, Biology, Economics, Psychology, Public Health, and many others by teaching students to:
- Understand and manipulate data using programming and statistical techniques.
- Apply data science methods to solve real-world problems.
- Use data visualization and storytelling to communicate findings.
- Explore ethical considerations in data usage and analysis.
