St. Catherine University offers a wide variety of opportunities for students to participate
in physical activity and competition, including 14 varsity athletic teams that compete
independently or at the NCAA Division III level, as well as intramural and club sports
programs.

Participation on a varsity athletic team is a privilege and is competitive in nature. Team
membership, roster status and playing opportunities are determined by the head coach
in accordance with the athletic department, conference and NCAA policies and
procedures and are not guaranteed rights of students.

To be eligible for participation in varsity athletics, students must maintain academic
standing as defined by the university policy, meet all applicable NCAA Division III and
conference eligibility requirements and remain in good disciplinary standing with the
university. Student-athletes are expected to demonstrate good sportsmanship, ethical
conduct and compliance with all university policies, team rules and NCAA regulations.

The designated university departments reserve the right to restrict or revoke
participation in varsity athletics, intramural sports or club sports when a student's
academic performance, conduct, health and safety considerations or failure to meet
applicable eligibility requirements warrants such action. Final determinations regarding
NCAA and institutional athletics eligibility are made by the university's designated
athletics and compliance officials in accordance with NCAA, conference and university
policies.
